Over the week, the boys and girls have been enjoying taking part in some Easter activities in nursery, for example, an Easter egg hunt outside in the garden and decorating paper eggs in the art area. We also enjoyed sharing a few Easter stories throughout the day!
All of the nursery staff would like to wish you all a very happy Easter, we hope you enjoy the holidays and stay safe. We will see you all back on Monday 9th April.
Our new sand tray has been a huge success in both the morning and the afternoon sessions. Our shaving foam experience was also a big success!
We all had a great World Book Day 2018 in nursery! All the boys and girls costumes of book characters were fantastic! We all enjoyed sharing a story together and the book drive was a huge success. Miss Clarke would like to say a huge THANK YOU for all the books that you donated, we will be continuing the Big Bedtime Read after the holidays and thanks to everyone who donated a book, which means we can keep our spare book box stocked up!
We hope you continue to enjoy sharing stories together!
On Friday 16th March we are having our World Book Day 2018 celebrations and on Thursday 15th for the afternoon children. We have lots of activities for the children to take part in and also we will be enjoying sharing a story together. This year’s campaign is all about getting people to share a story.
As part of these celebrations, we are dressing up as book characters and we are having a book drive and would like everyone to join in. We are looking for a donation of a children’s book that you no longer want/need that is in good condition. The children will receive a sticker to put inside the book to show that they have donated it and will also receive a special certificate for participating.
We would appreciate all the help! Thank you!

Well all the nursery staff are glad to be back at nursery to see you all again! We hope you had a lot of fun out in the snow! We’ve been hearing lots of stories about building snow men, igloos and going sledging!
We’d love to see all your snow pictures, you can upload them onto your Learning Journals and we can show them in nursery on our Smart Board.
Fingers crossed the weather keeps improving!

Thanks to everyone who let us know that they have been having difficulty accessing files from our blog today.
We think that the problem could be due to Word documents being uploaded. I’ve asked staff to upload files in PDF format going forward. In the meantime, please remember that if you do not have Word downloaded on your system at home, your child will be able to download the whole of Microsoft Office for FREE on up to 5 devices – yes FREE – through Glow. Not often you can say that nowadays! So, if you have put off paying a huge amount to buy Office, just look for the icon when you first log in to Glow, on your launch pad and set about downloading it.
