We have been very busy this first week back! 🙂

We have been learning:

• I know that a cube has 6 faces – Brydin
• We have been building towers that had to be as tall as a ruler – Charlie
• I know a cone has 1 corner and 2 faces – Brydin
• We have been learning how to make some 3d shapes – Miryn
• An octagon has 8 sides – Scott
• A hexagon has 6 sides – Aiva
• I made a house using a triangular prism and a cube – Melanie
• We were learning about how we get our energy – Cody-Leigh
• We need to eat lots of fruits and vegetables – Scott and Macaulay
• We need to eat yoghurts, bread, milk and lots of water to be healthy – Aiva and Cody- Leigh

We have been learning;

We made a learning pit – Oliver

We were learning about Red Nose day today – Cody-Leigh

I can identify that a pentagon has 5 sides and a hexagon has 6 sides – Peter

You can climb out the learning pit – because there is always a way out – Kian

I know that a trapezium is like a square but smaller and squint – Robert

We have been learning about shapes and how we know which shape is which by looking at their sides – Miryn

We have been learning about different shapes; like we know a octagon is an octagon because we think about an octopus with 8 legs, a hexagon has an x in it just like the number six so thats how we remember what a hexagon is – Melanie

We have been learning the 2 times table, we know the 2 times table is doubles! 🙂 – Elsie

I know a trick to do the 2 times table – use your hands to count in 2s! – Millies

We done pirate fractions – We had to split the treasure up to 2 different pirates making sure they both got half of the treasure – Amber

We watched the nursery assembly today – Eve

We have been learning about toys, we learned that teddy bears are over 100 years old and come from the 1900s – Kenzie

We have still been making sure we are eating healthy and bringing a healthy snack – Robbie

We were making road safety posters – Millie

We had a homework challenge to design a bench – Amber

We were revising i, l and t in handwriting – Leah

We were sharing out the treasure for the pirates and learning about halfs but we also learned that we were sharing out the treasure which was the same as dividing by 2! 🙂 – Elsie, Courtney and Amber

Just a little reminder that our Christmas party is on Monday 19^th December 2016 in the morning. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed in their party outfit and that they have their school uniform and outdoor shoes to change into afterwards.
