News from P5/4

It’s been another busy week in P5/4.

Well done to those pupils who got a Headteachers Award for their STEM Active Homework:

Thank you to all the Parents and family members who came along to the Scottish Celebration concert on Wednesday.  It was a great performace and I am so very proud of all the P4’s and P5’s.

This week’s raffle prize winner is Jordan – well done!

News from Primary 5/4

We’ve had another busy week in Primary 5/4. We have been practicing hard for our Scottish Celebration Evening which is on Wednesday 13th February 6-7pm. We also celebrated the Chinese New Year and did some imaginative writing. We have continued to work on our division.

This week’s raffle prize winner is… Megan!

A big thank you to our student, Miss Stewart who has been working with us for 5 weeks.

Happy New Year from P5/4

Welcome back and a very happy new year from P5/4!

This week we have started a new topic about Robert Burns and other Famous Scots.

In Wordsmith we have been looking at Tutankhamen and we have been Ancient Crime Squad investigators.

We are about to start a new Homework Grid on Monday 14th January.  Please also learn your Robert Burns poem – My Hoggie.

P5/4 News (30.11.18)

What a busy week in Primary 5/4. We have been working on our:

  • School Values
  • Addition Strategies (Number Talks, Mild, Spicy and Hot)
  • Study Ladder to consolidate addition
  • Persuasive Writing
  • Handball
  • Symmetry – Class Maths
  • Wordsmith – Ebook (Non-Fiction) Designing Question and Answers relating to a country from the ebook.

This week’s Raffle Prize winner was Cameron – Well done!

Please remember to bring an Outdoor PE kit each Wednesday and make sure you also have suitable indoor shoes. e.g. black gym shoes.

News from P5/4 – 14.9.18

Wow – what a busy and productive week in Primary 5/4! We have been working on:

  • Sumdog Challenges as part of Scottish Maths Week.
  • My Community – Big Write IDL (topic) Leaflet on Blackburn (I can’t wait to display and share the finished leaflets next week!)
  • Started our spelling – our first test will be on Wednesday 19th September.
  • Preparing for our Emotions/Growth Mindset Assembly – Friday 21st September 2018 at 9:15am. (Remember to keep learning your song words over the holiday weekend.)
