World Book Day Activities to do at home
Good morning on a very snowy world book day. Although we cannot celebrate world book day in school today you can still celebrate it at home with some of the activities from the world book day site.

There are two book shows to watch. The “Biggest Book Show on Earth” is for older readers and there is the “Illustrator extravaganza”.

World Book Day – Thursday 1st March
On Thursday 1st March we would like all of the children to come to school dressed as a book character. There will be lots of fun book activities for them to participate in to celebrate world book day. All of the children in the school will receive a book token next week which can be exchanged for a special world book day book (see link below) at any book shop. Primary One Assembly
Unfortunately the Primary one assembly has been postponed. A new date will be posted as soon as we can arrange one.
This week in P2
- We have been learning about minibeasts. We found out about the life cycle of spiders, ladybirds and butterflies.
- We have made a paperplate ladybird with googly eyes and a black paper face and pipe cleaner antenna.
- We have been working on addition and subtraction
- We have been learning about numbers to 100 and finding out which number comes before, after and inbetween.
- We have been counting backwards
- We wrote a story about the munching crunching caterpillars.
