We have had a very busy but enjoyable week in P2/1.
On Monday we worked in a team with P6 to do a litter pick. We used litter pickers to clean up all of the rubbish that we found. It was hard work but we did a super job!
Thank you to the mum’s (and little sister) who came along to help us.
In our numeracy activities we have been learning about Fact Families. We have to remember that the biggest number comes at the end of an addition problem and at the start of a subtraction problem.
We have also been learning the names for each number. We are using our reading skills to help us and if we get stuck we can check by looking at the number line on the wall.
Another thing we have been doing this week is doubling numbers. We have been using mirrors to see what happens to the dots on a die when we double them and playing games to help us learn them.
Today we went to the church for our Easter service and then we hunted for Easter eggs in our classroom!
