What have we been learning this week?
We have been reading our new books – Robbie
We did a beginning, middle and end task with our reading book – Eve
We learned that some sand (only at the Great Barrier Reef) is actually fish poop! :O – Leah
In our jotters we did a prediction task on what would happen at the end of our reading book – Elsie
The Great Barrier Reef is enormous – Eve
We know there are sharks in the Great barrier Reef and we know that sea turtles are being hunted down – Lucas
The sea turtles are endangered – Leah (well done Leah from remembering that word! :D)
The Great Barrier Reef is tropical – Millie
The Great Barrier Reef has lots of different fishes and sea animals – Alex
We did speedy spell – Kenzie
The great white shark keeps it’s mouth open to eat plankton – Quinn
Sand is made out of tiny broken rocks and fish poop! 😮 – Robert
Some Clown fish look yellow instead of orange – Courtney
Jelly fish eat plankton – Leah
Parrot fish live in the Great Barrier Reef – Melanie
The Great Barrier Reef water is quite crystal clear – Elsie
Sea turtles eat jelly fish and algae – Kenzie
Jelly fish blend in to the water – Zoe – Because they are transparent – Peter
Jelly fish can sting you – Mason

Jelly fish cant sting the sea turtles when they eat them – Leah

We did some problem solving where we had to put children on to benches – Millie
We watched P7 and P7/6 Assembly on Chinese New year – Amber
We learned it is the year of the Rooster – Elsie
We learned  that Konnichiwa is hello in Japanese – Millie
