The 1st of Blackburn Schools’ Football Festivals took place yesterday afternoon at New Murrayfield Park with 4 teams participating. Murrayfield Primary School were represented with 1 team and they did exceptionally well winning all of their games! The most important aspect of this and the other festivals is to encourage boys and girls to participate in and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle as well as showing excellent team skills and sportsmanship. It was also an opportunity to highlight many of the great sporting clubs available to the children within our community.

The pupils from Murrayfield were a credit to the school and their community and should be proud of their achievements yesterday.  The next festival takes place on Tuesday 28th March 2017 when hopefully it will be a bit warmer than yesterday afternoon!
