Homework

You may have noticed a change in the homework being set for your children.

Miss Moir (P6), Mrs Anderson (P7) and I agreed that in order to prepare the children as best we can for the jump in the level of homework set in S1 and beyond we had to re-vamp our upper school homework expectations.

Each Monday the children will be set spelling homework, a numeracy challenge and a reading comprehension challenge. This homework has to be handed in on the Thursday.

Additionally each Wednesday the children will be set reading plus a Literacy Circle task. This has to be completed by the coming Monday.

Homework is an integral part of your child’s learning as it enhances and consolidates what we they are learning in class.

Homework club is held every Wednesday lunchtime and is open to all children.
