Hello everyone and welcome to the latest news from Primary 5/4. Another busy week for us this week!
We have:
* Enjoyed a variety of different science experiences in our Masterclasses across the school.
* Had a wonderful full day trip to New Lanark Heritage Centre where we experienced a classroom from 1825 (including wearing traditional tunics!), the Annie Mcleod Experience where we traveled back in time and everyone really enjoyed it and finally a great tour of the whole of the visitor centre.
* We learned how the River Clyde was used to help spin cotton in the mill and how dangerous some of the jobs working in the mill were.
* We also learned about how people used to live in the tenement buildings sometimes up to 15 people living in one room!
* The most important invention from the Victorian Era, we soon discovered, was electricity and how we cannot live without it today.
* Finally this week, we have been learning how to plan & write an imaginative story – next week we will be attempting this completely on our own!
Please enjoy some of our photos from our trip and see you again next week.
