I would like to say a huge thank you to children and staff for the lovely assembly yesterday afternoon. I love singing and it was amazing to hear all the different songs from every class and the nursery. The dancing from the girls using modern pipe tunes was brilliant – I do wish I had even a tenth of your energy. The tunes on the piano and the Scots poem made the afternoon complete. Thank you so much for all you lovely cards and thoughtful words, you have been very kind.

This morning I travelled around Europe with the P7 children in their assembly and ended up in France which by total coincidence will be my first adventure.

I would like to thank children, staff and parents for all the lovely gifts I have received, it was really kind of you. I have been very lucky to finish my career in education with such amazing children, I will look back with great fondness to the time I have spent with everyone at Mid Calder Primary School.
