Charlotte’s Mum kindly volunteered to bake with the nursery children. Charlie, Ava and Charlotte made apple biscuits. “We used 2 apples, flour, butter and eggs.” said Charlotte.

Charlie had lots of fun baking. He and wee brother Alfie thought the biscuits were yummy! We brought them to great granny’s and she was very impressed with Charlie. We’d love the receipt please.

150g flour
75g unsalted butter
1 eating apple, cored and finely grated
1 egg yolk
Mix butter and flour until fine breadcrumbs,add apple and egg yolk, combine them into a dough.
Chill in fridge for half hour then roll out into fun shapes.
Bake in oven for 20-25 mins Gas mark 4/180 C or 350 F till golden.
