Countries in P4

For our IDL topic this term, Primary 4 wanted to learn about different countries. We used our digital skills to research and gather information on a country. We then used our creativity skills to create a fact file.

Show Racism the Red Card

P7/6 have shown how creative they can be this week with their entries for the ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ schools competition. The competition encourages entrants to spread a positive anti-racism message through a choice of formats. Our entries range from pieces of art, to football boot designs and even songs and musical compositions, all highlighting this important issue in different ways. Well done P7/6 and good luck!

P2/1 Wellbeing Week

P2/1 have loved all the opportunities that Wellbeing Week has offered them to try new things, build relationships and have fun!

We had the chance to work and play with every other class in the school. Children collaborated to make smoothies with a twist – they chopped up fruits, selected their favourites, and then took turns to power the blender with the special smoothie bike!

We learned how to use our bodies in new ways during taster sessions for yoga, martial arts, fitness, singing and dance.

We explored a range of different hobbies including play-dough making, board games, painting and hamma beads.

We learned about emotional wellbeing, and showed kindness and care for each other by giving kind notes and gifts. Children showed lots of empathy and respect for each other.

We had great fun in a silent disco, playing hello bingo, making crafts and visiting the park. There were so many opportunities for children to work with other groups and share their talents and interests. What a wonderful week!

Well-being Week

This week, we have had a fantastic time celebrating Well-being Week!
Throughout the week, we have explored the 5 Ways to Well-being – connect, keep learning, be active, take notice and give. The children took part in a variety of activities, from silent discos and smoothie bikes to martial arts, dance and fitness sessions. During hobby time, they had the chance to learn new skills such as painting, baking, play dough making and music. We also loved the chance to socialise with other classes, especially while sharing snack. In our classes we enjoyed playing board and card games and connecting with our teacher over some hot chocolate. A lovely week has been had!

Longridge Loves Languages Week

We celebrated Scotland Loves Languages Week 2026 with a theme of ‘En Plein Aire’ – outdoors. Unfortunately the Scottish weather meant lots of outdoor plans had to be adapted to somewhere a little more sheltered, but the languages explored in just one week was very inspiring!
