Hello again,

Here is the link for today’s Set 1 speedy sounds on Youtube. The sound is ‘t’ today, we know this sound really well as it was one of the first we learned but practice is always good! Can you write a few words in your yellow jotter with ‘t’ at the beginning such as ‘tin’ and a few with ‘t’ at the end such as ‘bat’ – challenge yourself with 4 sound words! E.g. tent, tank, test (can you hear all the sounds in these words? Where can you hear the ‘t’ sound?)

Good morning everybody and happy Friday.

Below is our last grid of the week.  I can see lots of you logged in to read Class Two at the Zoo yesterday – well done and I hope you enjoyed it.  Don’t forget you can try the maths games on Active Learn and there is also my maths challenge on Sumdog.  You can also ask an adult to help you leave a message on the blog to tell me how you are getting on, it’s really great to hear from you.

Hello,

Here is a link to a great youtube channel that focuses on phonics (reading and writing). Have a go at today’s sound ‘d’, you can practice writing the sound ‘d’ in your yellow jotter! I know this one can sometimes be tricky as it can get muddled with ‘b’.  There’s also a part in the video that goes over other sounds, just like we do in class!
