P7 Weekly Update

It has been a very buy week in Primary 7

In literacy we have been focusing on our reading skills, particularly inference the meaning of words, using task maps and our Literacy Box.  We all presented our Scots poems to the class.  Everyone managed to get up and recite our poem and some of us used really good expression. Well done to Amy, Eve and Temp who made it to the finals.  These were judged today and we look forward to hearing the finalists on Friday next week at our assembly.

In maths we have been continuing to learn about time.  We have been converting between 12 and 24 hour time and calculating more speed, distance & time problems.  Next week we are moving on to calculating time duration and reading timetables.

We have started researching our chosen decades for our topic – 20th Century.  We are looking at the important events, people, fashion, technology and music important to each of the decades.

We have enjoyed playing in the snow this week too.  We have made many snow animals and snow people.

We hope everyone has a great weekend 🙂
