P7/6 Update

P7/6 have had a very busy 2 weeks.  We have started learning lots about our new topic WW2.  We know how the war started, who was leading the countries involved in the war and have been learning all about The Blitz this week.  We have started making artwork of Blitz scenes and wrote imaginary stories about it too.

In maths we have continued to work on decimals and some of us tried a holistic question.  This meant we had to use skills we have learned in maths in a different context.  We found it hard to pick out the calculations we had to do to solve the question so will work on this to get better.

P6s have been working hard practicing for the school show.  They are sounding really good and the rest of us cannot wait to see the performance.

This week Miss Sutherland has been discussing where we are with our learning and which level we are working towards.  This lets us know where we are and what we need to do to progress in our learning.

We all recited our Scottish poems this week.  Some of us found this very scary and but tried our best.  Eilidh was selected to go through to the final heats on Monday and we wish her all the best.

Have a great weekend 🙂
