Primary 2 will be starting their new short topic about the woodland. They will be learning about the different animals and plants our local woods home and will find out how we can protect our wildlife and keep our woods safe. They will also learn about how to be safe In the woods and about the life cycle of a tree. Finally the children will be given a special task for homework! More information will follow in the next couple of weeks! :0)

In Maths, some groups will be continuing their learning of how to do chimney sums and will be doing mixed addition and subtraction sums to 100. Other groups will be consolidating their learning of addition and subtraction to 10 and beyond.

In Reading, alongside their reading book activities, some of the children will be learning how to use a dictionary.

Hopefully if the weather is kind to us the children will also take part in sports day on Tuesday!
