Primary 5 have had a very busy week! We even had two new students join our class and we all welcomed both girls with open arms and made sure to show both Chloe and Lena our school values through our words and actions, especially the 4th; Kindess. They already are an asset to our class.

We have been learning all about space, the history of The Romans, 3D shapes, poetry, story writing, facts about the Holocaust (as remembrance day had just past and it actually related to our new class novel) and finally, handball skills in P.E.

Some of our favourite learning activities and experiences this week were:

Alanna: writing my story because I was very impressed that I wrote at least four and a half paragraphs!

Abi: I liked writing my story because I like to write about scary stuff.

Lena: I liked writing my story and I’m impressed with the detail.

Amy: I enjoyed my writing because I have written at least 3 lines.

Zach: I enjoyed writing my scary story because I didn’t think I would be able to write 5 paragraphs.

Callie: I enjoyed my scary story because I haven’t written one in a while and I liked thinking of ideas.

Sarah: I enjoyed writing my horror story as I have never written one.

Grace B: I enjoyed practising handball skills in P.E.

Ellie: I enjoyed learning about shapes because we got to use the stamps.

Holly P: I enjoyed learning about the Romans because I’m interested in history.

Reese: I liked learning about space as I really enjoy aerodynamics.

Steven: I liked learning about space because I like space rockets and aliens.

Allie: I enjoy learning about space because its really interesting and I didn’t know much about it.

Kiera: I liked writing my story because it was really fun.

Robert: I enjoyed playing handball in P.E especially practising aiming through a hoop.

Chloe: I enjoyed doing maths because I like learning about 3D shapes.

Warren: I enjoyed doing skills in handball.

Deryn: I enjoyed writing my scary story because I like using my imagination.

Nico: I enjoyed doing handball in P.E because the blue team was doing really good.

Erin: I enjoyed learning about the Romans because I’ve never learned about them before.

Grace S: I enjoyed writing my spooky story and I can’t wait to write the other half.

Ryan D: I liked writing my scary story as I like zombies.

Oliwia: I enjoyed the writing because you get to pick scary things.

Ryan R: I liked P.E because I like doing handball.

Louie: I enjoyed learning the name of 3D shapes.

Owen: I enjoyed learning about space because I didn’t know how fast light can travel.
