Last week of P3 in Term 1

Wow! What a quick first term in P3.  We have had such a lovely time settling into our new class, meeting new friends and learning lots of new things.

This week we continued to develop our understanding of adjectives by going for a walk around the school and thinking of words that could be used to describe the leaves on the tress and how it felt outside.  We then completed a beautiful piece of descriptive writing about our walk.  We also looked at verbs with Mrs Clayton, and wrote gorgeous poem.

We have been continuing to develop our knowledge and understanding of number.  We have been doing very well and our confidence is definitely increasing.

Here are some our highlights:-

Thomas “my favourite activity this week was when we did yoga in the classroom”

Lennon “I liked counting forwards and backwards from numbers to 1000”

Harry “My favourite thing this week was doing the tricky sums in maths”

Emily “I liked counting up in 10s in Maths”

Billy “I liked looking at shape with Mrs Clayton”

Chloe “My favourite activity this week was practising the Harvest songs for assembly”

Ashley “I enjoyed going on the Autumn walk”

Here is a little snippet of what we are looking forward to next term

Kai “I am looking forward to the challenge in harder maths questions”

It was lovely getting to meet you all at parents nights and hope everyone has a wonderful week off! 🙂
