Primary 1 performers

This week primary 1 have been doing lots of performing. Earlier in the week they worked in groups to tell the story of Little Red Riding Hood using drama. We talked about using expression and actions to improve the performance. I was also very proud of everyone as they all performed one of the Scot’s language poems and they all tried very hard.

Primary 1 were very excited when we got a letter back from our dragon, who we now know is called Oswald but likes to be called Oz too. He is 47 years old and his favourite food is popcorn as he can pop it himself by breathing fire. He has said he is going to ask us for some more help soon and we are ready to help him.

In maths we have been learning our number bonds to 10 and have enjoyed singing along to the number bond rock, why don’t you have a go too?

Parimary 1 are continuing to learn new sounds each week and have been getting very good at blending sounds to make words. New reading books have been sent home this week, try to read them each night.

Could I also ask that children bring both indoor and outdoor PE kit into school if they have not got it in already.
