P6 Update

It’s been an extremely busy week for P6!  Our main focus was our World War Two assembly which we performed today.  Thanks to all the family and friends who came to support us – we had a huge turnout and it made performing our assembly even more special!

We’ve also been working super hard on Beauty and the Beast.  We’ve finished our first big production number and are starting work on more musical numbers.  It’s been great to see children stepping into parts when other children are off – the confidence we’ve been seeing has been great!

We had a little bit of performance inspiration on Wednesday watching “Oor Rabbie,” a show by the same  company who  came last term to perform “Macbeth.”  It was really interesting and interactive and we all enjoyed the show.

In maths we’ve been working hard on fractions, we’ve progressed to looking at hundredths and spotting equivalent fractions.  Our next step will be decimals and percentages!

Also this week we took part in the BBC’s live 500 Words lesson.  This is a competition run every year by Radio 2 for school children to write a short story.  We’ve started to come up with our ideas and will be starting writing soon!
