plenty of progress in primary 1

Primary 1 have been working hard practising for McTivity and are looking forward to performing it for family and friends this week.

We have also learned lots of new sounds this term and are practising blending the sounds together to make words and reading new words. Mrs McCann is very impressed with our letter formation and has seen lots of good sounding out when we are writing.

Last week we had a visit from our French friend Camembear and he brought us some tasty French treatsthat he likes to eat. Our favourite was the pain au chocolat and our least favourite was the pain au raisin because quite a few people didn’t like raisins.

We have also been thinking about what they enjoyed at school.

Summer – I  enjoyed learning new sounds

Martin – I enjoyed rehearsing for our nativity

Alyssa – I liked doing maths

Nicole – I enjoyed Golden Time

Jack – I liked Golden Time too

Caitlin – I enjoyed playing out in the area
