This week the children have been learning about symmetry. Thanks for all the things you’ve brought in for homework so far showing symmetry you’ve found at home! Some great ideas! Next week we will be learning a little bit about fractions and will be looking at halves and quarters.

In topic, we are continuing to learn about the woodland. So far we’ve learned about some of the animals that are found in our local woods and we learned about the life cycle of a tree. Finally the children were set with a task to make a bug hotel to stop the book bugs getting eaten and squashed! The finished hotels need to be in by Friday 24th June(I think I wrote the 23rd on the letter!) and the children will present them to the class on the last week of school. The winner will get a special prize!

The children have been doing a bit of reflective writing and have written about their highlights of P2. Next week they will be writing about what they are looking forward to in P3!
