Good Afternoon Primary 1!

Hope you are having a  lovely morning.  Thank you so much for the super  photos I have been receiving of your ‘invite a favourite toy to a tea party’ activity.  They have been fantastic!

Enjoy your Smile Mile this afternoon, look forward to hearing all the different ways you can move.  The Sticky Kids ‘Let’s Go Walking’ song gives lots of ideas and there is a link on the PowerPoint.

Useful Websites To Support Learning At Home.

Dear Parents and families of St. Joseph’s,

Thank you for supporting all the work we have been doing on the school blog and on Microsoft TEAMS. So far this platform has been working well however there may be times when demand on this platform causes it to struggle. Here are a few suggestions of websites you can access should you encounter any issues with TEAMS.

Home Learning Week 1 St Josephs’s PS Primary 1

Monday 23rd of March

Week beginning the 9th of March

This week Primary 1 have been learning about subtraction in maths.  We also went outside to measure using non-standard units.  In topic we used clay to make houses and used the large wooden blocks to build castles.  In literacy we used talking tins to listen to a dictated sentence and wrote the sentence on whiteboards thinking about the sounds and common words.  We have been introduced to our new Health and Wellbeing characters and have been using QR codes to listen to stories all about the Wellbeing indicator of the month ‘Nurture’.
