Happy Halloween

Hi everyone, welcome back to our P5 blog. This week we have enjoyed many spooky activities in our classroom. We investigated lots of scary adjectives, similes, metaphors and personification and then used them to create a spooky setting for our ‘Haunted House’ Story. We looked at symmetry in Maths and used it to help us completed some  Halloween pictures. In Art we found our how to blend different shades of paint to create a ‘Spooky sky and Haunted House’ picture. We started our new ‘Wallace and Bruce’ topic and found out about the events leading up to the Scottish Wars of Independence. We thought about the role of Kings and Queens and why they were important in 13th century Scotland. We created our own timelines and a family tree for Robert the Bruce. We enjoyed dressing up for Halloween!

Here are some pictures of our week.
