It’s Story Time!

Before the story, I would like to tell you how pleased i am to see that some of you have completed the First Sumdog challenge i set for you!  KMG, CF, RS, MMcC, SF and AF you did such a good job! If you have not tried the first challenge yet, you still have 3 days to give it a go before the next challenge begins. These challenges allow you to practise your amazing counting skills and  develop your number knowledge further!

There’s also one very important part! You will get a pet of your own to look after on Sumdog!

This is Ms Suen’s little fox!

I’ve also been practising through these Maths games and earning points to get new clothes for my character!

Here is the story ! Ebb and Flo and the Greedy Gulls by Jane Simmons.

Wellbeing Check-In

Afternoon everyone!

Hope you are all well. Mrs Fairley shared a lovely resource with me so I thought I’d share it with you! It is a wellbeing check in that you can use yourself or with someone else at home. If you aren’t feeling great there are also some lovely regulation strategy ideas that you can use. When I’m worried or sad I have been watching silly videos online and these have cheered me up!

Check In Worksheet     Regulation Strategies Cards

What regulation strategies have worked well for you? Be sure to share them on our Break Away channel on our Teams page!

Have a lovely evening,

Miss Barclay

Primary 3 Fingerspelling

Hello again Primary 3!
In Primary 3B we are very familiar with fingerspelling in sign.
I thought that I would post a reminder of how we sign the alphabet. Have a go even if you are new to sign or just needing a little practise!
Take a look and see if you can fingerspell your name!

I will post a challenge video tomorrow to see if you can guess what word I am fingerspelling.
Happy signing!

P2K Sumdog

Hello P2K. How are you all? I am really pleased to see that more of you are having a go at Sumdog. Some of you are spending lots of time on it which is great. Keep it up and keep challenging yourself ! Remember to think about the questions and don’t rush. If you have not had a go yet or have not been on for long, try it out. It is fun and will help not just your Maths skills but reading and spelling too. Take care.

P2D Sumdog

Well done to everyone who has had a go at the Sumdog assessments – whoop! Special congratulations – whoop whoop – to EA and GB for getting 100%. Fantastic work.
I think some of my Squares and Triangles rushed it a bit because there were quite a few easy peasy lemon squeazy questions which you didn’t answer. Remember, do your best at all times.
Take care.

Play Scotland

Good morning everyone!

Have you looked at the Play Scotland website? They have lots of ideas to keep little hands and minds busy (especially over the Easter break!) Check out the Playful Families section for things to try at home.  The “I’m bored” page is very good for ideas. We’re thinking about den building in the Carr household today!
