Elastics

Wednesday 27th May 2020

I am feeling a bit nostalgic this morning so I thought I would introduce you to something that I used to LOVE playing when I was your age….Elastics.  (The word ‘nostalgic’ just means that I am thinking back to past happy memories.)  All you need for this game is a length of elastic (although when I was younger we just used elastic bands attached together.)  You could play this with your family or even by yourself by using chairs to anchor your elastic.  Not only is Elastics fun but it is a really good way to keep you fit!  I wonder how many of the other teachers remember playing this when they were younger…..have fun 🙂

Alphabet Walk 🌈

Morning everyone,

Hope you are all well today and happy to see the sunshine again. Why not make practising your sounds fun while identifying surroundings at the same time. The “Alphabet Walk” can be played in two ways.

*Pick a letter of the alphabet and try to find as many things on your walk that begin with that letter (b-bird, ball, bag etc)

OR

*Use the entire alphabet and try to find something during your walk that begins with every letter (apple, boy, car, dog etc). This can be done at home also, whatever is easiest for you.

Have a nice day and we would love to hear how you get on.
