Primary 5 have been preparing for Children in Need on Friday 15th November by creating eye-catching posters to display around school. Some of the children have volunteered to present to the other classes about it at next week’s whole school assembly. Remember on Children in Need you can dress up as a super hero (linking with this year’s Gladiators theme) or you can dress down in your own clothes. If you are able, please bring a 50p donation or a contribution to our food pantry. At the moment we are particularly short of tea, coffee, cereal, diluting juice, packs of biscuits, mayonnaise, wipes, baby shampoo and deodorants. Thank you for your support.
P6 Trip to Summerlee!
Primary 6 had a fantastic trip to Summerlee last week. We really enjoyed the workshop where we got to dress up in Victorian school uniform and follow the strict Victorian school rules! We also got to go down a mine to experience what it would’ve been like to have worked in these conditions. We all agreed that it must have been very difficult especially with it being so dark and cramped. It was also really interesting getting to look inside different cottages to see how the living conditions and decor have changed over time. The outside loo in the 1800’s and the TV in the 1980’s cottage were big talking points!
Baking Metaskills Week 1
Week 1 of baking we melted chocolate over biscuits and decorated them. We were researching and creating our own recipes for the next masterclass! ‘Creativity is messy’
