Inspired by the story of Moses and how the queen found him floating in a reed basket along the River Nile, P4 decided to build a model of a reed boat.
We discussed which materials we can use to build our boat thinking about the properties of that material. We thought paper and card would absorb the water so we decided against those materials. We dicussed other materials too and decided straws would be best.

Eilidh was worried that her boat might not float because she had wrapped a lot of masking tape around her boat making it quite heavy. Luckily, it was not a problem and her boat floated!
