Well done for taking the time at home to make a castle with your family. I like the shiny blue paper you used for the moat and you have a working drawbridge to let people cross your moat. I’m very impressed!

Well done to Declan, Jack and Jay from P3 for working together to make a lego chocolate tube like the one in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They even included lego Oompa Loompas!

Well done Ryan for making a castle for our classroom – another one to add to our collection! I like your working drawbridge, Scottish flags, and pictures of Robert the Bruce and William Wallace – great detail Ryan.

Charlotte made a big castle from a cardboard box with her mum. Charlotte used sticky stars and glitter glue to decorate her castle. There are turrets and even a drawbridge and balcony on the castle. P3 were very impressed with Charlottes super castle. Well done!

Well done Leo, Olivia and Kirsty for sharing their homework with the class. Leo brought in a newspaper supplement and showed us the volcano Edinburgh Castle was built on.  Olivia used a cornflakes box and foil to make her own shield. After visiting Blackness castle, Kirsty drew a labelled diagram of the castle and told us all about it. Keep up the good work, P3!

We have been learning about castles. We have been learning to describe castles. We think castles are big, old, dark, strong, high, busy and noisy. We have also been learning about verbs. Inside castles, we think people would be working, eating, sleeping, fighting, chatting, reading, cooking and cleaning. The names of things are called nouns. We know castles have turrets, drawbridges, cannons, stairs and towers. We still have more to learn…
