As part of our Japan topic, P3/4/5 were split into groups and spent the afternoon in the hall working collaboratively to create, rehearse and perform their own Japanese music in the style of the Mugenkyo drummers. Earlier in the day during RME, we were learning about Buddhism and the story of the Buddha. Many years ago, the Buddhists developed a form of meditation so we tried some for ourselves! The pupils were asked to see and feel their bodies becoming the colours of the rainbow. Very relaxing!

Spending Spree at Dobbies!
Mrs Shiels, Jessie and I had great fun spending the £300 Sunflower prize money at Dobbies today! Among the treasures we chose are new rakes, a wheelbarrow, bulbs, seeds, plants and earth. The school will have a busy time ahead planting the fruit, vegetables and plants! Can’t wait to see what it will all look like when we are finished!
