Bike Breakfast

Thank you to all who came along to support the Bike Breakfast on Friday 9th February.  It was such a wonderful turnout with approximately 65 adults and children attending.

This was followed by a whole school assembly where the children were told about the benefits of cycling, scooting and walking to school.

The P5, P6 and P7 pupils then enjoyed some training on their bikes and this will be carried forward once Mrs Smith has attended the Bike Ability training in May.

iBike Breakfast

We look forward to seeing as many of our pupils and their family members cycling, scooting or walking to school on Friday 9th February to then attend the iBike Breakfast.

The iBike Breakfast will begin at 8.10am and therefore children and their families coming to school on bikes, scooters or walking are to come to school no earlier than 8.10am, as this breakfast is being run by a cycling officer from Sustrans.  This breakfast event will take place in our school hall.  For safety reasons, please enter the school from the driveway entrance, opposite the Preceptory carpark. Pupils should walk bikes and scooters around to the front of the school where the bike parking area is.

If your child is coming to our regular breakfast club then they will be able to do so from the normal time of 8am.  If your child is attending the Bike Breakfast, they will not be able to go to the school breakfast club and therefore please do not send then to school before 8.10am. The regular breakfast club, with Mrs Dunsmore, will take place in Mrs Johnston’s room.

Communication Clarification

It has been brought to my attention that there have been a number of recent complaints regarding there being no acknowledgement to e-mails sent to our leadership team.
The school e-mail address is the means by which parents communicate with the school. Mrs Callan then forwards e-mails to me for my attention. Some may be responded to via the office eg requests for term time holidays, some may be responded to by Mrs Johnston and some by Mr Barrowman, following my instruction. If successes are shared by parents Mrs Johnston, posts these onto our blog or Dojo. Lots of e-mails come into school each day from all sorts of sources.  Sometimes a reply is required and sometimes not. If you require a response you only have to ask. If you do not hear back from us and need an answer to a question, please call us and talk to us. If no one is available in the school office, leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as is possible.
We always try our very best to respond in a timeous manner.
