Primary 5/6/7 would like to thank everyone who came to the Christmas Carol Service this afternoon. Thank you also, for the very generous donations given for the refreshments afterwards.
Everyone was is in good spirits and the children all agreed that they enjoyed coming together to celebrate and spread Christmas cheer.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
In case there are any snow days this winter and our school has to be closed, here are learning activities for Primary 6 & Primary 7 pupils to complete at home. Have fun!
There are activities to learn new French vocabulary. Remember, you can also do the same activities in Spanish too.
As our school is closed today, pupils can still have fun learning at home. Have a look at the useful websites on our blog page (ABCYA.com) and participate in the maths, language, R.M.E and technology activities.
P1/2 can also practice their spelling and reading
P3/4/5 can also ensure they know all their lines for their school show and revise their spelling words for tomorrow
P5/6/7 can also practice song words for Merry Christmas Mr Scrooge as well as planning to write their own script for their writing activity next week
P5/6/7 are proud to have produced the very first issue of The Torphichen Scoop. Everyone in the class had a role to play, from photographers, weather reporters and editors, to environmentalists, reviewers and quiz masters. It was a lot of hard work to have all reports to the editors for the deadline but it was a worthwhile project. The newspaper was sold at our Christmas Fair for £1. We have a few copies left. Please ask the school for one. All money raised is for our school funds. Now we have done it once, we want to do it again!!
P5/6/7 had an afternoon sharing our Japan Homework task. It was a fantastic challenge where pupils had to earn points for specific challenges. Well done to our two pupils who mananged to earn 58 points!!
