Primary 3 – 28/04/20 PM

Good afternoon everyone,

This afternoon here are some activities for Music and Technologies.

Music
Mrs Keenan would like you to complete two activities this week for Music.

1) Listen to “The Sugar plum fairy ” as you watch line rider;

2) Ask an adult to help you make a simple maraca;

1. Take a clean yoghurt pot or something similar.

2. Add some lentils/broth mix/rice.

3. Make a lid by putting paper over the top. Secure with tape or elastic bands.

4. Play your new instrument!

Technologies
Use WordArt to create a word cloud on the topic of Spring. You can see the one I made if you click on the link below:
https://wordart.com/hwulv4s8361q/word-art

1)Type your chosen words into the boxes on the left
2)Click ‘Visualize’
3)Edit it by changing the font, colour, shape, image etc.

The website to visit is:
https://wordart.com/

Once you have made it you can share your word art with others by clicking on the ‘Share’ button at the top. It might even let you share the link as a comment on this blog post! Ask an adult to help you share it with someone by sending them the link as a message or email.

Have fun! 🙂

  1. J liked The Sugar Plum Fairy Song and has made a Maraca using yoghurt pots and rice. He also enjoyed the Toy Shop Money Game up to £1. We have made some keyrings with J’s photo to send to family today and he has also used Fabric Pens and coloured his own Rainbow Tshirt.

  2. That is a lovely idea! Very crafty 🙂
    Can you play your maraca along to some of the songs we have put on the blog for Music?
    It sounds like you have had a nice day.

  3. R really enjoyed the word art task this afternoon. Unfortunately when I add the link it does not work so I can email it over.
    R also watched the music clip posted by Mrs Kennan and afterwards made Caracas using yoghurt pot and pot noodle pots and filled them with rice, lentils and macaroni. She also competed two sentence worksheets and has started her footprint picture but we need to wait for paint to dry before finishing it

  4. Well done another busy day, you have been working very hard. I hope you have lots of fun with your maracas. Can you think of any other instruments you can make using recycled materials.
