Primary 3 – 27.04.20 PM

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you all had a good morning. This afternoon let’s have a go at French and Technologies/Art.

French

Watch this video of a boy called Angus who visits a school in France. Play along with the guessing game, ‘En France ou en Ecosse?’

en France = in France
en Ecosse = in Scotland

In your blue jotter, write the title A l’ecole. Draw a picture of the French flag in the middle of your page (google it if you can’t remember!) and then draw some of the famous landmarks from France (from the video) around it.

Technologies / Art
Create your own pixel masterpiece using the online creator I have posted below. You can choose what to create. Some examples include a Minecraft style character, a superhero, a Spring animal or scene.

I hope you all have an enjoyable afternoon and let me know how you get on.

  1. J has been active with Cosmic Kids Yoga this afternoon. He has enjoyed the French Video and the Guessing Game of which Country the different Landmarks were from.
J also drew the French Flag and a picture of the Eiffel Tower.
He went on Sumdog for some of the Spelling Task and the other challenge which is due tomorrow.

  2. It sounds like it has been a very busy day of learning in your house!
What a good variety of work today.
I look forward to seeing your work when I can πŸ™‚

  3. R enjoyed the French video and looking at the different landmarks. In her jotter she drew the French flag, the Eiffel tower and a sunflower.
Unfortunately the pixel game is not available on a tablet only in desktop so we were unable to complete this.
R chose a literacy task from the home learning grid and made a list of things which you see in Spring. This included sun, lambs, birds,Easter, bee, flowers and chicks.
She also completed two writing worksheets.

  4. I’m glad you enjoyed the French activity – you have been learning about culture as well as the language this afternoon!
I’m sorry to hear the pixel game wasn’t compatible – hopefully once everyone is back at school we can try again to include it in a lesson.
It sounds like another busy day! Well done again πŸ™‚
