Good morning everyone!
I hope you’ve all had a great weekend and had some fun in the lovely weather.
Wake up this morning by getting active! You could continue joining The Bodycoach for P.E. with Joe at 9.30am, or for something different, have a go at some yoga (in a Minecraft world!):
Maths
In class we have been learning about money. To continue on from this, you could try to join the The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and their partner website, MoneySense, for a live lesson on Facebook or Youtube this morning at 11.30am. To join the lesson, parents should access the lesson by going to the Royal Bank of Scotland Facebook page. #MoneySenseMondays
You could also try a game to help with budgeting, here:

Literacy
Write a recount of your weekend news in your blue jotter. Remember all your core writing targets (punctuation, spelling, finger spaces, handwriting) and also try to use some openers, such as:
At the weekend…
Yesterday…
On Saturday…
Last night…
Draw a detailed picture to go with your writing.
Please also access Sumdog.com where I have set you another spelling challenge 🙂
Remember to let me know how you are getting on and if I can help you at all by commenting on this post.
Mrs Harding
R had been very busy with her learning this morning.
She has completed some more of the maths challenge on Sumdog as well as completing two maths sheets and we will have a look at the RBS money sense later.
R also enjoyed writing about her weekend, she did very well using using capital letters, full stops and tried very hard at spelling everything correctly. She also drew a lovely picture of us walking the dog at Polkemmet Country Park.
R also completed a health and wellbeing task from the home learning grid. She picked a healthy meal of chicken salad and write out a shopping list including lettuce, cucumber, tomatoe, spring onions, chicken, mixed peppers and pineapple
Yes, that does sound like a busy morning! Don’t worry about trying to fit in the Money Sense activity as well as it sounds like you have done lots of maths already. The live link on RBS will be on every Monday so you could try it next week instead if you prefer.
Well done 🙂 I hope you are all keeping well,
Mrs Harding
J watched the RBS Money Sense Video and thought it was funny they used to use animals to buy things. He wrote out the list of coins and notes. We also did some sums together using coins.
He has done a Literacy Worksheet as well as his Footprints Poster, which he has coloured in.
Well done for accessing the Money Sense video this morning! They will be live every Monday if you wanted to watch again next week.
There will be some more work on money on the blog tomorrow morning…!
