SCHW_2022_activity_book

We are always busy at KEYC! A great Scottish Children’s Health Week. The activity book has some brilliant activities to inspire us to keep healthy! Have fun. Let us know what you have been up to, to keep healthy. Remember you can upload photos onto your childs Learning Journal.

Play and Learning

Brilliant play and learning in our block area. A wonderful example of children consulting, designing, building and playing imaginatively together.

Celebrating with Mrs Kennedy!

We wanted to make Mrs Kennedy’s last week before she retires very special. We planned lots of activities and were very busy organising a special thank you and goodbye. Please take a wee look at our SWAY that we have created showing you the special things we organised to say goodbye to Mrs Kennedy. We are sure Mrs Kennedy is looking forward to a well earned rest!

Taking good care of ourselves

This week we have been learning how to look after ourselves by talking about how we feel. We have been celebrating ‘being ME!’  Identifying our individual successes and being proud of our achievements.  We have enjoyed reading The Colour Monster’  story which helps us to identify how we feel and stories like ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ which helps us to know that is ok to be who we are and that we are all part of a wonderful community.  Rainbows have inspired us to feel that we are all wonderful!   🌈   Growing Together!

Children’s Mental Health Week 7th – 13th February

Welcome Back to KEYC!

We hope you had a nice Christmas break!  We are very excited to be back to nursery and we are looking forward to exploring and learning.  This week we were excited to see the snow! We talked about what it felt like and looked like and used thinking skills to decide how we wanted to play with the snow. We created a game with the hoola hoops to throw snow balls into them and score points!  We also decided we wanted to create pictures with glue and different shapes, creating ‘houses’ and ‘homes’ and a ‘dolly’ and a ‘dolls house’
