We found 6 blocks and were challenged to arrange them in the same order as the containers. We created our own crane using ribbon and our arms and used this to place the blocks as the containers had been placed We used our mark making skills to record what we saw! #responsive pic.twitter.com/xQq5LPbUBE

We are excited to share with you a video about how we shared the Nativity Story in nursery. The children got to know the story through role play and singing and playing with the knitted/wooden Nativity Characters. Please go to your child’s learning journal to access the link. pic.twitter.com/2rPc7VtuTE

Knightsridge Early Years Centre -Christmas Calendar
Well, we find ourselves planning for the festive season once again! We are delighted to be able to share with you our Christmas Calendar and our Festive events.
Children’s Nativity
This year we are planning a slightly different way of sharing the Nativity Story with the children and families. With a child friendly approach in mind, we are planning to provide the children with a more play based experience, allowing all children to participate and to role play the story if they want to.
We hope this approach will provide a richer Play and Learning Experience for all children. We also hope to be able to share, with families, how the children respond to this new way of experiencing the Nativity Story through our usual communication platforms. Watch out for a wee Video!
Christmas Jumper Day 8th of December!
Come to Nursery as Christmassy as you can!
Christmas Lunch
Our Traditional Christmas Lunch will be on Wednesday 14th of December.
Christmas Parties
The afternoon session Christmas Party will be on Thursday 22nd of December starting at 12.30 till 3pm. There will be a very special guest visiting us at 2.30pm and each child will be able to bring along one special adult to be with them to see this special guest. We would ask for your child’s special adult to arrive at Nursery for 2.20pm so we can be seated before the Special Guest arrives.
The morning session Christmas Party will be on Friday the 23rd of December starting at 9am till 11.30am. There will be a very special guest visiting us at 10.50am and each child will be able to bring along one special adult to be with them to see this special guest. We would ask for your child’s special adult to arrive at Nursery for 10.40am so we can be seated before the Special Guest arrives.
If your child attends Full Day Sessions and does not attend on Thursday or Friday you are welcome to join us on which ever day suits you. Please let us know.
Advent Christmas tree Countdown
We have an Advent Christmas Tree Countdown experience for the Month of December. We have a Christmas tree on the wall in the lunch area and each day the children will be encouraged to pop the number of the date of that day onto the tree. The children will then get a wee chocolate coin (all dietary needs will be considered) as a wee treat.
