Transition to P1

The children transitioning from nursery to P1, have been visiting Knightsridge Primary School. Children have had the opportunity to meet other children in the school and participate in a variety of activities during their visits.  We aim to continue our weekly visits to school, and we hope that the children are sharing this experience with you at home! This week,we have introduced those children transitioning to Knightsridge Primary School, to their buddys! Children from P6, have been visiting the nursery this week and will continue to visit Mon-Thu until the end of term.

Minibeasts

Today we have observed the children trying to find Minibeasts in the garden.  The children have been using magnifying glasses to help us find them and Mrs McNee created a fantastic worksheet with photographs of the many different Minibeasts we can discover in our garden. We aim to extend our learning about these very small creatures further as we learn the names of the Minibeast and discover more about what they look like.

Follow this fantastic link and learn more about Minibeasts at home!

Sun cream reminder

sun

Please remember to apply sun cream, before bringing your child to nursery. Always read the instruction on your sun cream bottle, as some sun creams need to be absorbed into the skin a required length of time, before they are effective.  It’s important to cover exposed parts of your child’s skin with sun cream, even on cloudy or overcast days.

For some useful information regarding protecting your child’s skin during sun exposure, including a short, informative video on how to apply sun cream. Please click on this useful link: Child Safety In The Sun
