Snow inspiration in P1a!

P1a have been making the most of the snow today by exploring how to create art in the snow.  There was lots teamwork and even more laughter!

The activities were child-led with a focus on discovery learning. If you look through the photos you will see evidence of colour-mixing, sculpture painting, dabbing, splatter painting, printing and shaping.

Can you spot where some of the children even made number dot patterns and wrote our ‘oo’ sound in the snow?

New teacher in P1a…

Mrs Burns and Ms Rainey better watch out, there’s a new teacher in town! The boys are practising their counting strategies during spontaneous play. Amazing how something new in the water tray inspires lots of imagination. In case you are wondering, the children are making ‘jelly’ and are going to ‘put it in the fridge until quarter past six!’
