Family Standards and Quality Report and School Improvement Plan
Is your child due to start school in August 2024?
Parents/carers of children who are five years of age between 1 March 2024 and the end of February 2025 are required to register their child for school.
Parents should use the online form which is available on the SLC website to enrol their child from 8 January 2024. Your catchment school will then be in touch to discuss your application from 15 January 2024 onwards.
Please find attached the Neurodevelopmental Workshop Calendar January 2024 and flyers for each workshop to share with your families.
Parents/carers are asked to email the workshop inbox to book a space and include the following information:
Please find attached our school uniform leaflet if you are looking to purchase new items for the August term.
Please see the attached leaflet from South Lanarkshire Works regarding 064023 ODT SL Works Parental Employment Support (002).
Please read the attached information update from NHSL Public Health with regards to Group A Streptococcal Infections (including scarlet fever).
A National Discussion is currently taking place to develop a vision for the future of education in Scotland.
Parents and carers have the opportunity to respond and have their views incorporated. Further information on how to do this is in the attached letter.
National Discussion on Scottish Education – Letter to Parents and Carers – 14th October 2022
All schools and early years establishments will be closed on Monday, 19th September 2022, the day of the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
We have been informed by South Lanarkshire Council this evening that due to the impact of the withdrawal of labour by janitorial, cleaning, catering and support staff during the 3-day strike action taking place on Tuesday 6th September, Wednesday 7th September and Thursday 8th September 2022, the decision has been taken to close the school on health and safety grounds on these days.
Please read the letter attached for further important information.
Events planned during this period, including Meet the Teacher, will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
Good afternoon,
We will be setting up a table outside the main entrance at the end of the school day tomorrow, Tuesday 29th March, with the many items of lost property we have accumulated. Please come along and claim anything that belongs to your child!
Later in the week we will set up another pre-loved stand with good quality uniform items that we would love to be re-used. Please come and have a look – it would be fantastic to see these items getting used again. We hope that going into the new term these will be of use to some of you, especially to save buying new items for just one term!
Finally, if you have any good quality uniform items that your children have outgrown and you feel could be re-loved, please consider handing these into the school office. We are always grateful for any donations.
Many thanks.
