South Lanarkshire Council’s Instrumental Music Service deliver six, bespoke, YMI projects throughout the year. These projects are specifically designed to ensure we meet the Scottish Government commitment to guarantee every school pupil in Scotland is offered a year of free music tuition by the time they leave primary school.

Our YMI projects take an holistic approach, centred on pupil wellbeing through practical music making. Our projects raise self-confidence, self esteem, encourage peer support while fitting within our progression pathways.
