Parents/carers welcome from 1:45pm to join us as we showcase our learning in art and dance. Refreshments will be in classes after the showcase.
John Wilson Photography will be in school taking photographs of the children on Wednesday 30th October.
Individual, class and family photographs will be taken for each child. If you would like additional photographs taken, please let us know.
Please note, children should be in full school uniform.Â
The Parent Council will be holding an information session on Wednesday 25th at 1:45pm for current/new parents/carers to attend to find out about the Parent Council and what they do. This is a great opportunity to share your ideas and opinions about developments in the school.
Last Tuesday (27.8.19), the boys and girls at Rigside Primary School attended the Baillie Gifford Gala Day at the International Edinburgh Book Festival. All children attended a showcase by a variety of authors and illustrators and even got to strokes alpacas! There was also a variety of performers and sculptures relating to books the children have read that they could see. The children all commented on how fantastic their day was!
Congratulations to our new house captains and vice-captains for 2019-2020. All Primary 6/7 children were given the opportunity to apply for the post with the following children being selected by house members last Friday at assembly.

Our annual letter pack went home with the children this weekend. These include annual data forms, allergy forms and photograph permission. Please check your child’s bag, complete the forms and return them to school as soon as possible.
We are looking forward to welcoming back all of our pupils to Rigside PS this morning. We are particuarly excited to have our new P1s starting. All P1s pupils and parents should report to the school office at 9am. Parents are welcome to come in to the class to take pictures and get them settled. We can’t wait to see you all!
