Keep safe and healthy!
From Friday 3 April there are new arrangements in place for children who are entitled to free school meals. Instead of packed lunches, £30 PayPoint vouchers will be sent directly to you fortnightly using the mobile phone numbers or email addresses South Lanarkshire Council already hold for you. If they don’t have your number or email they will post the vouchers to you. Parents/carers of eligible children do not need to apply for this payment. The first £30 payments will be made on Friday 3 April, covering weeks commencing 30 March and 6 April. Payments will be made only to those entitled to means-tested free school meals. This includes children in Primaries 1 to 3, who will be assessed for free school meal entitlement. Again, this is in line with Scottish Government guidelines.
Please find guidance from NHS on coronavirus for educational settings.
Tomorrow is Team Build Thursday. Pupils are invited to dress down for free. Please see the attached flyer for information about tomorrow afternoon’s activities.
Please note: Primary 7s should wear school uniform tomorrow as they are attending Lanark Grammar tomorrow morning.
We’re just leaving Edinburgh. ETA 7:15pm. Could we ask that you don’t park on both sides of the road as the buses won’t be able to get passed.
If your child is due to start Primary 1 in August, then enrollment week is next week. Please ensure that they are enrolled at their catchment school. Appointments are available between Monday 13th and Friday 17th January. Please contact the school office to arrange an appointment, if you require one.
The boys and girls at Rigside Primary School are looking forward to performing our whole school nativity ‘Straw and Order’. Could you please ensure that if your child has not already brought in their black top/trousers that this is handed into school tomorrow. Alternatively, they should wear all black to school tomorrow.
The performance will be at 1:15pm on Tuesday 17th December. We hope to see you all.
Our next Parent Council meeting will take place on Monday 11th November at 1:30pm in the school staff room. The meeting’s focus will be arranging future dates for parent council events.
All parents/carers are welcome to attend. There will be refreshments and creche facilities available.
