P3 Class Blog May 2026

Last term was an extremely busy one in P3. One of the highlights for us was our class assembly where we took everyone on a journey visiting the main cities in Scotland. We were so confident presenting in front of everyone and sharing our learning.

This term will be extremely busy too. Unfortunately, Mrs Gilroy has broken her leg skiing.  We wish she was here and hope that she gets better soon.

We have been delighted to welcome a new teacher to our class, Mrs Orr on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we have Mrs White on a Thursday and Friday.

So far, we have been revising our tables and learning  about equations.  We used chalk outside to work on them during the sunny weather.  Also , with Mrs White we have been working on Data Handling, looking at bar charts and tally marks which has been fun.

Our topic this term is Housing.  We have already identified different types of houses and drew excellent tree houses too.

In Health and Wellbeing, we have been looking at food and healthy lifestyles, and working on our good table manners for the dining hall.  The dinner ladies have really appreciated us saying please and thanks.

We have lots still to look forward to this term including sports day, the Summer fayre and of course our class trip. We are going to  Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Glasgow on Thursday 14.05.26 and will do a workshop on Life and Death in Ancient Egypt. We can’t wait!
