This week is a busy week for everyone at Kirkton. We are looking forward to registering who are due to start school in August 2020.
If your child’s 5th birthday falls on or before 29th February 2021, and you live within our catchment area, you should enrol your child for our P1 intake.
Please bring your child’s full birth certificate and two pieces of recent official documentation both containing parent’s permanent home address to clarify proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, council tax statement, housing rent statement, child benefit documentation).
January 2020 is getting busier every day.

How lovely it was to see everyone again after the holidays.
As it is the first week it is quite quiet from a whole school perspective, however learning is happening in each class and we are delighted to be launching our new Rainbow Recognition this week.

Well we are nearly at the end of the year but with one week to go we are in full party spirit.
All Christmas Parties will take place in the school on the following dates. They will all start at 1.20pm and finish by 3pm. There will be no early lunches on this day. Children who are going home, should be collected from the main door at 12.15pm. For supervision reasons, pupils who have gone home at lunchtime cannot return into the school building until the bell rings at 1.00pm and should be back for 1.15pm. Children who are getting changed at school will have their lunch as normal and staff will be on hand to help children get changed at 1.00pm at the end of lunch. Parents will be unable to help children get ready for the party.
Our Christmas Service will take place on Friday 20th December at 9.45am in Kirkton Parish Church. As always, we would welcome any support in walking our children to and from the church, if you are able to help, please come into school for 9.15am and we will assign classes. Even if you are unable to help with walking over we would love for you to join us for this very special celebration.
Our Christmas DVD morning will be on Wednesday, if children would like some Hot Chocolate with marshmallows they should bring a mug with them the DVD is a U certificate. Please let us know if there is any reason your child cannot participate.
Our January Calendar will be published in the new year.
