Heathery Knowe Primary School and Nursery – 18th November 2022

It was short but very busy week for Heathery Knowe PS pupils. Primary 6 and 7 pupils from Rooms 9 and 10 visited the cinema in Hamilton and learned how to use the U22 travel cards for free travel.  Miss Inglis and Mis Wharton accompanied the pupils and were pleased that our pupils showed respect and confidence when developing skills in travelling independently. Thank you to Mrs Hunter, Mrs Fraser and Mrs Archbold for coming along and supporting the children.

Love Autism Session

All parents and carers with an interest in understanding Autistic Spectrum Disorder are invited to attend the next workshop on 28th November at 9.30am Mount Cameron Primary School. Details of the session are included below:

Helping Your Child to Better Understand and Express Their Emotions

During this session I will talk about why autistic children find it so hard to understand what they feel and why. I’ll suggest some hints and tips that might help.
Join me (Anne Love) for a cuppa and a natter, get to know other parents/carers and leave our session with more knowledge and understanding and the confidence to give the strategies I suggest a go.” (Anne Love)
