Week 33 at Heathery Knowe PS and Nursery Class

The Summer term is always very busy as we celebrate the end of the school year and prepare for the next one.

Heathery Knowe Nursery Class

From August 2021, the Nursery Class will offer full time provision to children. Over the next week, we will be consulting with parents about the start time and pick up time for Nursery pupils to take into account congestion, parking and safety.

The Nursery has reduced its capacity from 80 part time placements to 40 full time placements and is currently full to capacity.  Unfortunately for many of our families with siblings in the school, the youngest children were not placed at Heathery Knowe Nursery. Transfer requests can be made so that children are considered when a place becomes available.

Full details on how to make a transfer request in South Lanarkshire can be found using  the following link:

Kilbryde Hospice
As part of the sunflower walk, we would like to give children the opportunity to plant and grow a sunflower.  Please could you save any used large yogurt pots that could be used as a plant pot  and donate these to the school. We would be grateful for any donations of yogurt pots, sunflower seeds and compost so that all children have an opportunity to plant and grow a sunflower without there being any charge to participate.
