Heathery Knowe Primary School is in the early stages of our journey with our football league. Our senior league is run by our Janitor, Mr Wilson, and consists of 6 teams including children from Primary 5 to Primary 7.

Review of the Week
On the opening week of the football league. We had some very entertaining games of football. There were some magnificent individual goals from the players, which would be at home on any pitch around the world!
The game of the week must be between Rovers v Villa. The game got off to a good start with plenty of attacking play from Rovers. The goals started to come for Villa, and before we knew it Villa had scored seven goals. Then with only 6 minutes left in the game, Rovers battled back. Suddenly it was 7-1, followed shortly after by two more goals. With the score at 7-3 would Rovers be able to get anything from this match. What followed was magical! Wave after wave of attacks from Rovers. With 20 seconds to go, it was 7-6 to Villa. Then in the last seconds Rovers got the well-deserved equaliser to make it 7-7. The match was at an end and we had just witnessed an amazing come back from Rovers. We can’t forget Villa though and that they got to seven goals so quickly in the first place, so a well done to them for that.
We now look forward to the week ahead and wonder what exciting games will happen.
