🌍 Our Sustainability Journey

At the Early Learning Unit, we’re committed to nurturing both our children and our planet. From pre-loved clothes to growing veggies and enjoying tasty treats together, here are just a few of the things we’re doing to make a difference—one small step at a time!

👚 Preloved Clothing Rail

We invite all families to make use of our Preloved Clothing Rail, available at both the main entrance and in our Parent’s Room. This initiative encourages the donation and collection of used children’s clothing, helping to reduce waste and support one another. Our staff refresh the rail regularly to reflect the seasons and special occasions—look out for festive finds at Christmas, Halloween, and during the summer months!

đŸŒ± Edible School Yard

Our children are hands-on in the garden! Through our Edible School Yard, they learn how to plant, grow, and harvest fruits, vegetables, and herbs. This experience encourages a love for nature, healthy eating habits, and an understanding of where food comes from. Its supports children with the seed to plate process. When we have extra food items we offer our families.

đŸ§ș Neighbourly Nibbles

Our Neighbourly Nibbles initiative helps reduce food waste while supporting our families. Thanks to weekly donations from local partners like Aldi and Lidl, we are able to offer a selection of free surplus food for families to take home. We work closely with Neighbourly to keep our food shelves regularly topped up with fresh, useful items for everyone to enjoy
