Registration of children starting school – Is your child due to start school in August 2025?

Parents/carers of children who are five years of age between 1 March 2025 and the end of February 2026 are required to register their child for starting school.

To enrol your child at school you are asked to complete an online registration form which will be available from Monday 6 January 2025. Your catchment school will be in touch with you to arrange a discussion between Monday 13 January – Friday 17 January.

Castlefield Primary School Handbook

The winter months are always a challenge in our playgrounds and car park areas. The school has a salting plan that the janitor will follow each day. The Adverse Weather Plan Nov 24 graphic shows you the order that the janitor will salt specific areas of the school. These salted paths are created to keep everyone safe and we ask that you stick to them for your and your child’s safety.

Access gates to the school playgrounds or car park may be closed – please use the main pedestrian gate at the front car park area to access the school if all other gates are closed.
